Information about tution fees and financial aid : Tuition In state tuition per annum is $5,151.00; out of state tuition is $7,351.00. (FOR 2008-2009*) See: Fee Information . Financial Aid and Stipends The College of Architecture may offer financial aid or stipends to selected students based on their research interests. These awards are available on a competitive basis for incoming students (contingent on grants and funds availability). However based on academic and research abilities, students have the opportunity to apply for these awards in later semesters. Both teaching and research assistantships are available. Awards begin at $7200.00 per year with a full in-state and out-of-state tuition waiver and may be enhanced on a competitive basis. To apply for these awards, the College requires that incoming students undergo the Teaching Assistant Workshop at the beginning of the Fall Semester . Teaching Opportunities Teaching assistants will work under graduate/undergraduate faculty supervision assisting with teaching assignments, research projects, or other outside private funded projects. As much as possible, their responsibilities will be consistent with their areas of academic emphasis, expertise, and interest. Research Opportunities Research Assistants will work under graduate faculty supervision in the School's research units and in related areas. For details of the above Research Centers, see: Research Centers . 1) the Design Research and Informatics Lab on various contract and research projects and grants; and 2) the Educational Design Institute on educational design pro; and 3) the Center for Small Town Research and Design on rural community-based projects; and 4) the Jackson Community Design Center on urban and suburban community based projects. Most Research Assistants work under a particular faculty in their research area.
