Anijo Mathew is the 2006-07 ARCC New Researcher of the Year
The Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC) New Researcher of the Year is intended to acknowledge and reward emerging figures in architectural and environmental design research that demonstrate innovation in thinking, dedication in scholarship, contributions to the academy, and leadership.
This year Prof. Mathew receives the award for his work with interactive architecture and rural "smart" spaces. The award includes recognition at a national level, a plaque and monetary award, as well as an honorarium to present his research at the annual ARCC conference.

CAADRIA 2007 - Paper accepted
Larry Barrow, Shilpi Kumar and Shaima Al Arayedh's paper "EMERGING TECHNOLOLGY - Dilemma and Opportunities in Housing" was accepted for publication and presentation at the CAADRIA 2007 conference in Nanjing, China. Shaima will be presenting the paper on behalf of Dr. Barrow and Prof. Kumar.

CHI 2007 - Panel "Who Killed Design?"
An Interactive Session panel was accepted to at CHI 2007 in San Jose, CA. Anijo Mathew with Scott Pobiner (Parsons The New School for Design) will moderate the panel "Who Killed Design?" with panelists: Meg Armstrong (Parsons The New School for Design); Bill Moggridge (IDEO); Terry Winograd (Stanford HCI); Bill Buxton (Microsoft Research).
